How can I improve my Video Quality?

Sessions uses your phone or computer's internet connection to facilitate the video call. The most common cause for video quality issues is your internet or device.

When using a mobile device ensure you are:

  • Using the latest version of the Psychology Today Sessions app
  • Running on a strong WiFi connection not your cellular network

When using a computer or laptop ensure you are:

  • Using the most up to date browser (Chrome, Safari, Firefox) and operating system versions. Learn how to update your browser here
  • Not running other applications in the background taking up bandwidth
  • Ensure you're not running on a VPN
  • Reducing the quality of the video resolution from high to low if issues are still persisting
    • Video quality is adjusted while in Session, by selecting More Options (3 vertical dots) > Audio and Video Settings
