Allowing Camera and Microphone access in Microsoft

How to enable camera and/or microphone access if they remain blocked on your Microsoft device

If Sessions has been granted access to your camera and microphone within your Browser and you still get a "Your camera and microphone are blocked..." error, you may need to allow your Browser access to your camera or microphone.

 

  1. Select Start  > Settings  > Privacy
  2. Under App Permissions, select Camera.
  3. In Allow access to the camera on this device, select Change and make sure Camera access for this device is turned on.
  4. Scroll down to Allow desktop apps to access your camera and make sure it's turned on. 
    1. Ensure your preferred Browser is displaying under this list
Grant the same permissions on your Microphone by select Microphone in Step 2
    1. Complete steps 3 & 4 accordingly
